Transportation to and from campus

The relevant UNT Campus Shuttle routes are the Colorado Express (CE174) and Center Place (CP154), and Evening Off Campus (EOC194) routes. These buses arrive at and depart from Union Transfer, just east of the UNT Union.

Bus day passes:

All participants staying at either the Best Western or Springhill Suites (except those with UNT parking permits) will receive four local day passes upon check-in at the hotel, one for each day of the conference. If you do not receive them, please ask the front desk staff and they should give you the four passes.
The passes are valid on any UNT Campus Shuttle route as well as on DCTA Connect Bus and the A-train.
Please validate each day pass by blacking out the month (May) and date (14, 15, 16 or 17) with a pen. Alternatively, you can have the bus driver validate it. Once validated, the pass remains valid for the rest of the day.
Please return any unused and unvalidated day passes to the conference organizers, so that they may be used again for future events.

From Premier Best Western to campus:

Take the Colorado Express route (CE174) to Union Transfer. The recommended bus stop is at The Ridge, approximately a 5-10 minute walk from the hotel (red line on map below). There is another stop closer by on the other side of Brinker Rd, in front of the Hilton Garden Inn (green line on map), but the bus will not stop there if it is full, so you will have a better chance of getting on the bus at The Ridge.

The ride to UNT Union Transfer (the end of the line) takes about 20 minutes.

Coming out of the hotel, the road on your right is Colorado Blvd.
Exit the parking lot, turn right, and immediately turn left onto Colorado.
You find the bus stop on the left side of the road, just after a curve in the road.

Backup shuttle: The Best Western has a small shuttle van that will depart at 8:20 am from the hotel each morning of the conference for those who missed the bus. Note that this shuttle can carry only 10 passengers, and when it is full it is full!

From Springhill Suites to campus:

Take the Centre Place route (CP154) to Union Transfer. To get to the bus stop, exit the hotel parking lot and turn right onto Centre Place Dr. The bus stop is on the right side of the street after about 50 m. See the map below. The ride to UNT Union Transfer (the end of the line) takes about 15 minutes.

From Union transfer to the BLB:

See the map below. The Colorado Express route stops at the big red dot, and the Centre Place route stops at the purple dot.

Head West toward the UNT Union.
Where the street turns to the right, turn left and follow the rightmost path between Wooten Hall and Matthews Hall.
At the T-intersection, cross Highland St., keeping Avenue A to your left.
The Business Leadership Building (G. Brint Ryan College of Business) is on your right. Enter the building at ground level, underneath the stairs. Rooms 015 and 010 will be on the right just past the restrooms.

From Union Circle Parking Garage (lot 49) to BLB:

Exit the parking garage where you entered it, at the Southwest corner. You will be near the red bullet on the above map. Follow the directions in "From Union Transfer to the BLB".

From Union Transfer to Premier Best Western:

Take the Colorado Express bus from the bus stop marked with "CE", at the red dot on the above map. (See picture.) Get off at The Ridge. The ride takes 11 minutes.

Backup shuttle: The Best Western shuttle van will depart from Union Transfer (CE bus stop) at 6:00 pm on Tuesday and Wednesday for those who missed the last bus.

From Union Transfer to Springhill Suites:

Take the Centre Place bus from the bus stop marked with "CP DS", at the purple dot on the above map. (See picture.) Get off at 14 Fifty One, and walk back about 50 m to the hotel. The ride takes 8 minutes.

Caution: Be careful NOT to take the Daugherty Street Bus, which stops at the same stop!

Evening service: After 5:00 pm, you can use the Evening Off Campus bus (EOC194). It also has a stop at 14 Fifty One. Be careful to take line A bound for The Forum, NOT line B bound for The Retreat. The EOC bus stops in front of the Union Circle parking garage, near the intersection with Welch St (see picture below right).
